House Approves Bill Allowing Arizona Community Colleges to Offer 4-Year Baccalaureate Degrees

The Arizona House of Representatives today approved HB 2523, bipartisan legislation sponsored by State Representative Becky Nutt (R-14) that allows community colleges to offer accredited four-year baccalaureate degrees.

"A strong community relies on its people and their ability to be successful," said Representative Nutt. "Education is vital to ensuring that people have the tools to meaningfully engage the workforce and give back to the communities in which they live. By allowing community colleges to offer four-year degrees, HB 2523 will help make college dramatically more accessible, more affordable, and result in more Arizonans achieving their educational goals."
